Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use BizSmartTools.
Last updated: June 22, 2026
BizSmartTools (www.bizsmarttools.com) publishes free online tools, software comparisons, and editorial content.
This policy explains what information may be collected when you use the site, how it is used, and how to contact us with privacy questions.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, information may include:
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, referral source, and similar technical data collected through analytics and hosting services.
- Cookies and similar technologies— identifiers used by analytics providers to recognize browsers or sessions. See Cookies & Analytics below.
- Information you send us — if you email us or use the contact form, we receive the content of your message and your email address (and any name or details you include).
- Tool and page interactions — many utilities run in your browser; we may still record that a page was visited and how the site performs, even when file contents stay on your device.
We do not ask you to create an account to use the public site. We do not run a newsletter signup on the site today.
Browser-Based Tools and Local Processing
Many BizSmartTools utilities (such as calculators, formatters, encoders, and several PDF and image tools) are designed to process inputs in your browser without sending those file contents or inputs to BizSmartTools servers for processing.
Data may still exist temporarily in your browser memory or storage while you use a tool. Closing or refreshing the browser can clear that working state. Some features (for example, shared quotation preview links) pass data in the URL so a recipient can view a preview in their own browser; that payload is decoded locally and is not stored on our servers as part of that feature.
Individual tool pages describe behavior where it differs. Do not use the site to process highly sensitive personal data unless you are comfortable with your browser environment and this policy.
How Information Is Used
We use collected information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the website and its tools
- Measure traffic, performance, and errors
- Understand which content and tools are useful
- Respond to support, correction, partnership, and privacy requests
- Meet legal obligations and reduce abuse (for example, investigating misuse of outbound links)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content of browser-tool inputs for advertising profiles when those tools are designed to run locally as described above.
Cookies & Analytics
BizSmartTools uses cookies and similar technologies so analytics and hosting partners can provide measurement and reliability services. You can limit cookies in your browser settings; some measurement features may not work fully if cookies are blocked.
Services that may be active on the site include:
- Vercel Analytics — privacy-oriented traffic and performance measurement on Vercel Analytics. This integration is included in our site layout.
- Google Analytics 4 — when a Google measurement ID is configured for production, we load Google tag scripts to collect usage statistics. We enable IP anonymization in the configuration used on this site. Learn more at Google's Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — when a Clarity project ID is configured, session analytics (such as heatmaps and interaction data) may be collected by Microsoft. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
When Google Analytics is enabled, we may also send Core Web Vitals performance metrics to Google as non-interaction events to help monitor site speed.
Third-Party Services
The site is hosted and delivered through infrastructure providers (including Vercel). Those providers may process server logs, IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata to deliver pages, protect against abuse, and maintain service reliability. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
Fonts and other assets may be loaded from third-party content delivery networks as part of normal page delivery. We do not use a separate email delivery API (such as Resend) for public contact forms; messages initiated through the contact page are handled through your email client when you choose to send them.
Affiliate Links & External Websites
BizSmartTools includes links to third-party software vendors, affiliate partners, and other external sites. Some links are affiliate or referral links: if you purchase or sign up through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change our obligation to disclose them clearly.
Outbound links on redirect pages (for example, /go/ paths) are validated against an allowed HTTPS domain list before redirecting, to reduce open-redirect abuse. After you leave BizSmartTools, the external site may set its own cookies, use tracking pixels, or collect personal information under its own terms.
We do not control third-party or affiliate network privacy practices. Review the destination site's policy before submitting payment or personal details. For more on how we use affiliate links, see our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure.
Data Retention
Analytics and hosting providers retain data according to their own settings and policies. We retain emails and contact correspondence only as long as needed to respond, document a business or partnership discussion, resolve a dispute, or meet applicable legal requirements.
Browser-side tool data that never leaves your device is not retained by BizSmartTools servers as part of that local processing model, but analytics may still retain records that you visited a given page.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a content and tools website, including HTTPS delivery, content security restrictions, and careful handling of outbound redirects. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, browser, and network when using online tools.
User Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to object to some uses. We will honor valid requests where applicable law requires us to do so.
You can also limit analytics cookies through browser controls and, where available, vendor opt-out tools provided by Google or Microsoft. To make a privacy request related to BizSmartTools, contact us using the details below and describe what you are asking for.
Children's Privacy
BizSmartTools is intended for a general business and professional audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy when our practices, tools, or legal requirements change. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top when we do. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
